"The first record out of the Tuff Bong chute is the self-titled go about from melanin deprived rhyme-ologist, Izzy Dunfore. Reminiscent of that "other" white rapper, Dunfore transitions from schoolyard bully to class clown with style and ease. Don't think for a second that this record is all style and no substance, Izzy teams up with well known singer Chris Ranallo on two tracks that showcase the fact that this rapper is more than bravado and able to show an introspective, thoughtful, vulnerable side that is often lacking in today's bling and blam hip-hop. One of the more interesting attributes of this record is the production. So many times in hip hop, production is either too lo-fi or too raw, or it's too polished - giving the final product a plastic veneer that fits well in SUV, TRL, soccer-mom suburbia, but not in my iPod. Sid Wilson (Slipknot 0, DJ Starscream) has found the much sought after middle ground; raw and real AND listenable. Bottom Line: This record is one non-stop onslaught of fast, fat, fortuitous rhymes that even the shrewdest hip-hop connoisseur would do well to own." - Tony Tarbox "Morning Breath" Host 105.1 Channel Q
